An hour with @CyclingSurgeon on physical activity and social media (3.2.16)

The 2nd #ScotPublicHealth #PublicHealthHour

At our first #ScotPublicHealth #PublicHealthHour (6.1.16) we communicated solely using Twitter. Read the blog here. Though generating a lot of information and tweets, it was a little tricky to follow the flow of discussion and many contributors wanted help with tweeting. During that session we identified physical activity as a topic of interest for a future session.

For the second #PublicHealthHour we therefore set up a Webex webinar with tweeting (to provide a clearer structure), and were lucky to be joined by Prof Chris Oliver, Physical Activity for Health Research Centre, University of Edinburgh. Chris is a very successful tweeter with a large following (@CyclingSurgeon). The session ran from 11AM ’til noon, 3 Feb 2016.

Joining instructions for 3 Feb webinar with @CyclingSurgeon Prof Chris Oliver

The next #ScotPublicHealth #PublicHealthHour session (Wednesday 3 Feb 2016) will be run as a webinar (Webex), with Prof Chris Oliver (@CyclingSurgeon) telling us about physical activity, a new physical activity MOOC (massive online open course) and providing a masterclass on Twitter.

This will be at the earlier time of 11AM (open from 10.50 to allow everyone to navigate any IT hurdles).
